Breast Procedures

This 35-year-old female is approximately 5’3” tall and 130 pounds. She wore a 34C bra but it was always padded. She was seeking breast augmentation in Sacramento. She had consultations with a number of plastic surgeons and it was recommended that she have a mastopexy or breast lift in addition to the breast implants. The concern was regarding the small amount of ptosis or sag to her breasts that could remain a problem after augmentation alone and leave her with an unsatisfactory result. We had a long and thorough consultation reviewing her condition as well as options for treatment and the anticipated results. Ultimately she decided that she would not want the extra scarring associated with the breast lift and chose to have implants alone for her Sacramento breast enlargement. She proceeded to surgery and using careful intraoperative sizing we selected the implant that would give her the volume she required while also trying to position the prosthesis to provide as natural an appearance as possible. Ultimately we used 350cc smooth round moderate profile saline filled implants. They were placed in the sub muscular position through a peri-areolar approach. She is now a very full 34C and feels her breasts are natural in appearance. She is happy to have avoided the extra scarring as well as the extra cost of the breast lift.
